Barr. Ezemonye Ezekiel-Amadi, House of Representatives Candidate for Ikwerre/Emohua Federal Constituency in a media chat today with 99.5 Wish FM said that he can run election in Rivers State without billboards and posters, based on the efforts and work that he has done and his engagement with the grassroot.
According to him, restricting Candidates of opposing Political Parties in Rivers State from using billboard stands and posters will not stop him from winning his election. “If your candidature resonates with your people, you don’t need posters or billboards to get the votes of the people” he said
He also said that what makes him different from other Candidates is that he has experience of the workings of the National Assembly, having served in the lower rung and the upper rung of the NASS as a Senior Special Assistant on Legal Matters in the Office of the then Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives and so he is very well equipped.

When asked about Executive Order 21, he said that rather than use such Orders to over reach other Political Parties in the State, the State Government should deploy Executive Orders to further policies and programs of Government aimed at presenting the masses with tools for survival especially with the current downturn in the global economy. “Executive Order 21 and indeed Order 22 will only encourage what I refer to as Task Force Economy and as such not in favour of Rivers people. We need to move away from the Task Force economy that we are currently running in the State”
He emphatically stated that only God and any human with two heads will stop him from being on the ballot. “Rest assured that I will be on the ballot and we will not only be on the ballot, we will win”, he said.
When a caller asked how he will be able to carry everybody along without doing same thing that other Politicians have done in the past, he replied and said “Give me one year from when I am sworn in and I promise that the people of Ikwerre/Emohua will come back to say indeed this one is different! I have made this promise on Radio, I want it on record and I want to be taken up on this promise.”
“I know that there are opportunities, business opportunities, employment opportunities out there that our people do not have access to and our people need someone who can go there to open the doors to those opportunities. That is what I am going to do when I get into office.”
He concluded by promising to run a decent campaign that is devoid of name calling and insults to Candidates of other Parties ( his fellow Candidates), revealing that he has inculcated this to his supporters and team members.
